WINTHROP — The Kennebec Land Trust has two upcoming winter outdoor activities scheduled in the coming months.
The trust’s annual Family Winter Fun Day will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 10, at Curtis Homestead Conservation Area on Bog Road in Leeds.
Participants should bring their own cross-country skis or snowshoes and prepare to spend the afternoon exploring the 360-acre conservation property. Hot chocolate and snacks will be served around a bonfire in the field.
The trust’s outing club is also hosting a snowshoe walk from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 19, at Holman Conservation Area, on Melanie Road off Upper Pond Road in Litchfield.
All ages are welcome, and the club will have snowshoes available for those don’t have their own. Participants are invited to bring skis and sleds. The event is free; no registration is required.
