SeniorsPlus Franklin County January caregivers support group canceled

FARMINGTON — SeniorsPlus Caregiver Support Group is not going to be held for the month of January because of the holiday.

The next meeting will be held from 3 to 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5, at 218 Fairbanks Road.
This support group is for caregivers of persons with Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia. The meetings are a cance to connect with others, share experiences, gain information, support and a friendly ear, organizers said.

It is not necessary to register in advance to attend, and the group is free and open to the public.

Office hours for scheduled appointments at the Franklin County satellite office of SeniorsPlus are from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Wednesdays. Visitors must call 1-800-427-1241 to schedule an appointment.

Walk-in hours from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. will be held on the second Thursday of every month. Staff will be on hand to answer questions about services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families. The services are free and open to the public.

SeniorsPlus is headquarted in Lewiston and serves as the local Area Agency on Aging and Aging and Disability Resource Center for Androscoggin, Franklin, and Oxford counties, and provides a network of support, information, services and resources for older adults and adults with disabilities and their families.
