LEWISTON — The 2018 Lewiston city inauguration ceremony will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 2, at the Gendron Franco Center, 46 Cedar St.
The event will include the oath of office for incoming Mayor Shane Bouchard, the incoming Lewiston City Council and the incoming Lewiston School Committee.
During the ceremony, speeches will be presented by outgoing Mayor Robert Macdonald as well as incoming Mayor Bouchard, the new City Council president and new School Committee chairman.
The City Council president and the School Committee chairman will be elected as part of the inauguration exercises. This event is free and open to the public. A dessert reception will occur immediately after the ceremony. Parking will be available across the street in the Continental Mill lot.
