Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine seeks wellness practitioners

NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine is looking for qualified practitioners in reiki, massage, reflexology and therapeutic yoga who are interested in participating in the Center’s Caring Coupon Wellness Program.

Funded by grants from the Stephens Community Healthcare Foundation as well as the Joan and Edward Engle Family Foundation, the program began in spring of 2017 to provide free wellness services to those affected by cancer in the community.

Any cancer patient who lives in western Maine and is undergoing treatment or is up to six months out of treatment, is eligible to receive Caring Coupons.

Coupons may be used to access free services from any of the center’s approved wellness providers; those that have completed an application and have gone through the interview process.
Wellness services available include massage, reiki, reflexology and therapeutic yoga and all wellness providers are reimbursed for their services.

Anyone interested in applying to be a wellness provider for the Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine may download an application from www.crcofwm.org, or stop by the center at 199 Main St. any Thursday or Friday between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. The deadline for applying is Jan. 31.
