PARIS — The town is reminding residents and their guests thta no parking is allowed on town streets and roads through April 15.
The ordinance is enforced during these months for snow removal, and any vehicle parked on any Paris street/road during this time may be towed at owner’s expense.
The Paris Police Department will attempt to locate an owner before towing vehicle. The officer will call Oxford County Regional Communications Center and run the registration plate and attempt to locate the owner. If the attempts fails and the vehicle owner cannot be contacted, the vehicle will be towed at owner’s expense.
Following this ordinance helps the Paris Highway Department keep the roads passable during the winter months.
There is also no parking overnight in any town parking lot. All vehicles must be removed or they may be towed at owner’s expense.
Contact Paris Police Chief Hartley H. Mowatt Jr. at 207-743-6600 with any questions about the parking restrictions.
