Androscoggin bank adds to commercial, mortgage teams

LEWISTON — Robert Westhoven has joined Androscoggin Bank’s commercial lending team as vice president, commercial loan officer, and Scott Sarapas has been named senior mortgage loan officer, the bank announced.

Before joining Androscoggin Bank, Westhoven was vice president, commercial relationship manager and vice president, small business relationship manager for TD Bank.

“I am pleased to have a talented manager and loan officer like Rob join our smarter banking team at Androscoggin Bank,” said Androscoggin Bank President and CEO Paul Andersen in a news release. “Rob brings valuable experience that will undoubtedly prove beneficial to our goal of helping Maine businesses grow and succeed.”

Westhoven also worked for Peoples Heritage Bank in Scarborough and South Portland, as well as branch supervisor for Banknorth in Portland.

“I’ve been working in Maine’s banking community for nearly two decades, and I am excited about the future of Androscoggin Bank. I’m pleased to be joining a team that is community-minded and dedicated to the success of Maine’s small businesses and Maine’s economy overall,” said Westhoven.

Westhoven is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine and is a resident of Auburn. He is based in the Bank’s Lewiston office.

Sarapas brings experience in both real estate and mortgage lending to Androscoggin Bank. He most recently was responsible for business development as well as real estate closing and title abstracting duties at Treworgy & Baldacci. He has also held positions with Bangor Savings Bank, where he was an assistant vice president and mortgage development officer, and for Bank of America, where he was a mortgage loan associate.

Sarapas is a resident of Falmouth and is based in Androscoggin Bank’s Portland office.
