AUBURN — Androscoggin Youth Indoor Soccer leagues are now accepting registrations for the second session of the year at the Ingersoll Arena Turf Facility, 48 Pettengill Park.
AYIS leagues — a mixture of weekly practices and games — are run by Andro United, a local non-profit organization based in Maine. Andro United prepares, trains and develops players through AYIS with the intent of encouraging youth players to pursue soccer as they grow, gaining a lifelong love of the sport. Players from all cities and towns are welcome.
The next session of AYIS will meet Saturdays, Jan. 6 through Feb. 17, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will be three separate, co-ed age divisions. The oldest division will be for high school participants with a birth year of 2000 through 2003.
The second division will be for birth years 2004 through 2006, and the youngest division will be for birth years 2007 through 2009.
Registration is open and ongoing; however, space is limited. Families can register and pay online at www.androunited.com or physically pick up a form from the Auburn Rec Department or Ingersoll Turf Facility.
Registrations will be processed in the order they are received and overflow will be put on a waitlist.
The deadline for registration is Friday, Dec. 29.
