SOUTH PARIS — The annual Swingin’ Bears Square Dance Club’s annual Teddy Bear Dance will be held from 7 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at Oxford Hills Middle School cafeteria, 100 Pine St.
The club encourages all clubs to bring their class members to the dance. There will be three levels of dancing. Club caller Ray Hilton — the yodeling caller — will alternate between class level and mainstream level, offering one tip of plus level during intermission.
Carol Arsenault will cue the round dancing. Hilton and Arsenault are regulars at the Teddy Bear Dance.
In the spirit of Christmas, the club collects Teddy bears and other stuffed toys to be given to children in the Oxford Hills area through Right Start For Kids, a Community Concepts project. Last year, the club collected more than 200 stuffed toys.
Admission to the dance is $7 per person, but non-dancers are invited to come and watch at no charge.
Refreshments will be served. There will be a 50-50 raffle and door prizes.
