NORWAY — Seven employees of Stephens Memorial Hospital have been awarded scholarships from Western Maine Health to assist in furthering their education, said Margaret Burns, vice president of clinical services, in a news release.
The Minnie White Scholarship is made possible through a restricted bequest to Stephens Memorial Hospital for nursing scholarships.
Recipients are Louise Fillebrown, director of clinical education, pursuing a master’s degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program; Alison Newton, senior nurse director, pursuing a master’s degree in nursing; Robin LeVasseur, surgical services, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing; Karen Farris, medical surgical unit, pursuing a master’s degree in the Family Nurse Practitioner Program; and Jessica Komulainen, clinical informatics, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Western Maine Health Scholarships were awarded Denise Lebroke, accounting, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, and Aaron Callina, surgical services, pursuing a degree in registered respiratory therapy.
