MADRID — The Rev. David W. Smith, pastor of the Wilton Congregational Church, will lead Reeds Mill Church in worship on Thanksgiving Day.
The service in the church, which is the same as it was when it was built in 1892, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 23.
The one-room church at 995 Reeds Mill Road, known as The Church in the Wildwood, remains as it was when built: no electricity or running water, original kerosene lamps, and a wood stove.
The public is invited to the church to “truly honor the reason we celebrate this holiday,” organizers said.
