We were at a small cafe in Massachusetts with our son Josh, daughter-in-law Kelly, and 3-year-old granddaughter Ada. The cafe was struggling that weekend, with the smoker turned off and many menu items unavailable.
After explaining this, our server left to give us time to determine our order. At that point, my wife Linda said, very quietly, “This is a disaster.”
When the server returned to take our order, Ada proclaimed, in a loud voice, “This is a disaster!”
