AUBURN – The Auburn Recreation Department track and field team set several records when members competed in the Maine USATF state meet held on Aug 12 at Massabesic High School. The meet was for those 8 to 15 years old.
In the 8 and under boys 4×100 relay, Tallen Berry-Hart, Peyton Langlois, Brodyn Rodrigue and Eben Thibodeau, broke the Maine USATF State Record with a time of 1:10.78. The old record of 1:10.90 was set in 1991. Lindy Hyndman broke the 15-year-old girls 100m and 200m record with times of 13.75 and 28.59, respectively. The team consisted of more than 70 athletes between the ages of 8 and 15.
