WATERVILLE — Two students from Auburn were among the class of 2021 at Colby College this fall.
Savannah Shaw, a graduate of North Yarmouth Academy and the daughter of David and Julie Shaw, and Kaylie-Anna Vallee, a graduate of Edward Little High School, and the daughter of Sallie Hackett and Robert Vallee, both of Auburn, joined freshmen who took part in a week-long orientation before classes began Sept. 6.
“The class of 2021 was selected from the largest and most academically qualified pool of applications in Colby’s 205-year history,” school officials said in a news release. “This class will be the first to benefit from DavisConnects, Colby’s innovative program that supports all students in their pursuit of independent and collaborative research, global experiences, and internships to prepare them for postgraduate success.” Colby has 2,000 undergraduate students.
