AUGUSTA — Corbin Dostie and Nathan Huynh, both residents of Augusta and graduates of Cony High School, have been awarded scholarships from The Benjamin Apthorp Gould Fuller and Harriet S. Williams Fuller Memorial Fund as well as The Horace Williams Memorial Fund.
Kennebec Savings Bank’s Trust and Investment Management department administers the funds.
“These scholarship funds reward the student’s academic achievement and will help defray the cost of college tuition and housing,” said Amos Byron, vice president and trust officer at the bank.
Dostie attends Kennebec Valley Community College, where he is majoring in precision machining.
Huynh attends Clark University in Worcester, Mass., where he is majoring in biology with the intention of pursuing a degree in medicine in the future.
Because of contributions of descendants of the two trusts, the amounts of the scholarships have increased over previous years, the bank said. This year, 30 scholarships have been awarded totaling nearly $50,000.
