Stephens Hospital offers ‘Living Well for Better Health’ beginning Sept. 25

NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital and the MaineHealth Learning Resource Center will be offering “Living Well for Better Health,” a nationally recognized interactive workshop series held for two hours once a week for six weeks.
Adults with any kind of health condition such as diabetes, heart disease, arthritis, depression, weight concerns, or any other ongoing health problem can attend. Family members or friends are encouraged to attend as well.

The workshop participants will meet from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 25 through Oct. 30 at the Harper Conference Center in the Ripley medical office building, 193 Main St. The cost to participate is $5, and pre-registration is required by visiting www.wmh.coursestorm.com. Join social worker Robin Green and Sharon Nightingale to learn new ways to deal with issues such as fatigue, pain, anxious feelings, sadness or depression. The workshops address appropriate exercises for maintaining and improving strength, flexibility and endurance, how to eat healthier, how to evaluate new treatments, how to be a member of your healthcare team, how to set goals, plan for your future, and much more. Coffee and muffins will be provided.
