FARMINGTON – A Tar-2-Trail fundraising race — comprised of a two-mile walk and a 5-K run through the town and forests of Farmington — will be held Saturday, Oct. 14, beginning at 9 a.m. at the task force office, 113 Church St. Participants are encouraged to “enjoy the fall foliage, get your shoes dirty, and breathe in the fresh air as you run this scenic course,” noted organizers from the Franklin County Children’s Task Force.

Registration on the day of the event costs $20; however, pre-registration is $15. Visit www.active.com and search for “Make Tracks for Kids” to register.
