LEWISTON — Two new members have been named to the Board of Directors of Museum L-A.
Steven Huber, the owner and clinician of Huber Associates Physical Therapy and Orthotics in Auburn, and Mark Tanous, managing partner at the Synergy Search Group were recently named to the 16 member board.
Huber, of Turner, has worked in the Lewiston-Auburn community for more than 30 years and is involved as a volunteer in many local, state-wide and national organizations, according to a news release from the museum. He has a bachelor’s degree in physical therapy from Temple University and has authored publications and taught several courses throughout the United States.
“Steve’s experience with small business, strategic planning and fund raising will greatly assist in the operations of both present and new museum,” said the news release.

Tanous, of North Turner, has more than 20 years’ experience in professional services and business management, according to the release.
Before joining SSG, he was director of client services at Career Management. He has also held senior level positions at Financial Institution Services Corp., Executive Search Group, The Auburn Group International, Management Recruiters International and International Insurance Services. A graduate of the University of Southern Maine, he holds a bachelor of science degree in industrial yechnology engineering and an associate of science degree in business. “Mark’s knowledge of human resources and experience in fund raising will enhance the museum’s operations,” the release said.
“These individuals will bring an invaluable level of knowledge and expertise in management, relationship building, and leadership that will bring Museum L-A to a new level,” saids John Cleveland, board chairman. “On behalf of our Board of Directors and staff, we welcome them with open arms and look forward to working with them as our Museum moves into its exciting future.”
