Aug. 252017

NORWAY — The Cancer Resource Center of Western Maine has a full slate of activities scheduled for September, though it will be closed for a long Labor Day weekend, beginning Thursday, Aug. 31.
The center is located in the Stephens Memorial Hospital Specialty Clinic building at 199 Main S.
September activities include the women’s support group, men’s rally group, exercise, wellness and relaxation activities, and more.

More information may be found on the center’s website, www.crcofwm.org.

All programs offered by the Center are free to anyone impacted by cancer and caregivers. New visitors are welcomed to stop by for information and to join in one or all of their activities. Drop-in hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and volunteers are available to provide comfort items such as port protectors, wigs, hats, pillows or look for resources.

The center also has many pamphlets and a lending library, and is a place to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, chat with a volunteer or take time for yourself by participating in scheduled activities. Activities such as coloring, knitting or games are available at all times.
