OQUOSSOC — Oquossoc Day 2017, a day-long event, will be held Saturday, Aug. 19, in the village.
The theme this year is patriotism, and events begin at 10 a.m. and continue through early evening. They include art, antique and craft shows; live music; lunch and dinner specials, a wooden boat show, activities for kids and the ever-popular Sink the Bismark.
There will also be a raffle for an antique framed map of the region, a Pelican kayak, and more. Raffle tickets are available beginning Friday, Aug. 11, and can be bought at The Gingerbread House, Outdoor Sporting Heritage Museum and Oquossoc Grocery. The drawing will be held at 4 p.m. at The Gingerbread House on Oquossoc Day.
