WAYNE — Bernd Heinrich, well-known Maine author, will give an illustrated talk on his latest book, “One Wild Bird at a Time,” Sunday, Aug. 20, at 4 p.m. at Cary Memorial Library’s Williams House, 14 Old Winthrop Road. The talk will be followed by a reception featuring wine, hors d’oeuvres and desserts.
Heinrich has written more than 20 books and has taught at University of California — Berkeley and Los Angeles– the University of Maine and the University of Vermont. His latest book, a series of intimate studies of the birds who visit his cabin in the woods in Wilton, is illustrated with his own sketches. This program is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and reservations are recommended.
