Weber ceramics show exhibit at Harlow Gallery begins July 28

Jul. 202017

HALLOWELL — A solo exhibition of ceramic works by local artist Malley Weber is on view at the Harlow Gallery, beginning Friday, July 28, and running through Saturday, Sept. 2.
There will be an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. July 28.

The exhibition is free and open to the public. Harlow Gallery is at 160 Water St., and hours are from noon to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday.
Weber, a ceramic artist, potter, instructor and clay field facilitator, is owner-operator of Hallowell Clay Works. She is “passionate about using local resources and digs her own glacial-marine clay,” said a news release from the gallery.
She also produces a line of commercial pottery sold at her downtown studio, as well as facilitates sensorimotor education for adults and children using the “healing at the clay field” technique. She is an adjunct ceramic arts educator at the University of Maine at Augusta as well as a teaching artist for the Maine Arts Commission and for Watershed Center for Ceramic Arts in Newcastle.
