BELGRADE — Maine mystery writer Bruce Coffin, a former detective with the Portland Police Department, will speak from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Belgrade Public Library, Wednesday, July 12. Coffin supervised all homicide and violent crime investigations for Maine’s largest city. He will be reading from and speaking about his first novel in the John Byron mystery series, “Among the Shadows,” as well as his second, “Beneath the Depths,” which is due out Aug. 8.
Books will be available for sale and light refreshments will be served.
