OTISFIELD — The Bell Hill Meethinghouse summer schedule of activities kicks off with a concert by the Denny Breau Trio on Sunday, July 9. The 7 p.m. concert is at the meetinghouse, 191 Bell Hill Road.
Breau, in more than 30 years as a full-time musician, has performed with many well-known artists and picked alongside outstanding guitarists. Denny is a triple threat: a consummate picker, evocative songwriter, and a singer with a voice that is warm and inviting but completely unpretentious, according to a news release. He was inducted into the Maine Country Music Hall of Fame in 2004, the youngest inductee in the history of the organization.
The concert coincides with the Otisfield Historical Society’s Strawberry Shortcake Festival at the Old Town House at the foot of Bell Hill, which is from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Lemonade and cookies will also be available at the concert during intermission.
