LEWISTON – The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society has announced the winner of its Annual Summer Raffle.
Heidi Pelletier, of Greene, won $500; Cindy Nesbit, of Bowdoin, won $300; Phyllis Gamache, of Lisbon Falls, won $200; Leary & Detroy in Auburn won $100; and Sonia Woodrum, of Sabattus, won the bonus prize, an Austin Air Purifier donated by The Vac Shak in Lewiston.
The raffle raised more than $9,000 and all proceeds directly benefit the Humane Society.
The Greater Androscoggin Humane Society, at 55 Strawberry Ave., provides a safe haven for more than 4,500 sick, homeless and abused animals in the greater Androscoggin area a year. The primary support for the shelter comes from fundraising events and donations.
