Rangeley Public Library annual book, bake sale is July 8

Jul. 12017

RANGELEY — The Rangeley Public Library’s annual Book and Bake Sale will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, July 8, on Lake Street, across the street from the library.

There will be hundreds of items to choose from, including paperbacks, puzzles, videos, audios, kids’ books and all sorts of fiction and non-fiction. Copies of the phonebook will be available for purchase, as well as directions of how to buy the new phonebook app for phones, tickets for our Summer Celebration, and two raffles – “Rangeley Dine Around” and “Become a Character in a Novel.”

There will also be an assortment of baked goods for sale, featuring lots of pies made by volunteers.
Organizers from the library also said they wanted to thank all of those who make this, and all of the library’s events, a success, including Steve Philbrick, for the use of his tent and the labor to put it up (and down), and to Diane VanAmberg, who works all year long to organize the books for sale, as well as all the people who bake the pies and treats that are sold and the volunteers who move and set up books, man the sales tables and give their time to support the library.

Don’t forget to come early to the Book and Bake Sale on July 8th for the best selection. Bags will be available, but we encourage you to bring your own bags to fill with books. Remember – just$10 for a bag of books! See you there!
