Gerritsen talk, book sale on tap at Raymond Village Library in July

Jul. 12017

RAYMOND — Best-selling mystery writer Tess Gerritsen will speak at 6:30 p.m. Monday, July 10, at the Raymond Village Library.

Gerritsen, who lives in Camden, is the author of the “Rizzoli & Isles” series, which inspired the television series starring Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander, along with best selling medical and crime thrillers and romance novels.

Gerritsen has won both the Nero Wolfe Award for “Vanish” and the Rita Award for “The Surgeon.”

The library will hold its second summer book sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, July 8, and Sunday, July 9.

A variety of fiction, non-fiction, teen, children’s books, audio books and DVDs will be on sale. All items will be priced between 25 cents and $2.

This year’s book sale will feature a silent auction of a limited edition (one of only 100) bound on handmade paper copy of Dean Koontz’s “Ashley Bell,” signed by the author. All proceeds from the sale and silent auction benefit the library.

Donations of gently used books, movies, music CDs and puzzles are accepted year-round.

For more information or to sign up for the Gerritsen event, contact the library at 655-4283.
