Paris Hill Music Festival to be Aug. 10-13

SOUTH PARIS — The Paris Hill Music Festival, which will span four days in August, will host a variety of music, including free Saturday shows, organizers announced. The festival will be from Thursday, Aug. 10, to Sunday, Aug. 13, at the First Baptist Church on Paris Hill.

The festival features four major concerts. Schooner Fare will perform Thursday, Aug. 10, The DaPonte String Quartet will perform Friday, Aug. 11, and Noel Paul Stookey, of Peter, Paul & Mary, will perform Saturday, Aug. 12. The three featured shows will all begin at 7 p.m. The Chris Humphrey Jazz Quartet will wrap the festival up at 3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 13. On Saturday there will also be a vendors fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. All vendors will be music-oriented. There will also be free performances on Saturday, and the festival welcomes music groups that would like to perform in exchange for a donation of $50. The donation allows music to be presented to everyone for free. The ongoing concert performances will be on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The Paris Hill Country Club will serve dinner buffet at 5 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday for a cost of $24.95. There will also be a silent auction of donated items at 6 p.m. Sunday.
Tickets to the concert are on sale at the Paris Hill Country Club, Bolster’s Decorating in Market Square in South Paris, and the Books-n-Things on Main Street in Norway.
