GREENE — Friends of Tommy’s Feral Felines is seeking donations of yard sale items and returnable bottles for its July yard sale and bottle drive. The event will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, July 28, and Saturday, July 29, at 700 Main St., just across from Hurricane’s Café and Deli. Rain dates are Friday, Aug. 4, and Saturday, Aug. 5.
Because Tommy’s does not have storage for donated items, organizers ask that all donations be brought directly to the sale any time after 9 a.m. on the days of the sale. Tommy’s also requests that no clothing, bedding, books or large appliances be donated.
Tommy’s Feral Felines is an all-volunteer, no kill organization that is funded solely by donations and income generated from fund-raising events. The staff works year-round to support abandoned cats that live a feral existence. In addition to feeding and sheltering the cats, Tommy’s provides spaying and neutering, vaccinations and other medical care to the animals; many of which are too many generations feral to be adoptable.
