NORWAY — Four employees of Stephens Memorial Hospital have been awarded scholarships to assist them in furthering their education, Western Maine Health Senior Vice President of Clinical Services Margaret Burns announced.
Three received the Minnie White Scholarship, which was made possible through a restricted bequest to the hospital for nursing scholarships. Recipients are Louise Fillebrown, RN, BSN, director of clinical education, who is pursuing a master of science in nursing; Alison Newton, RN, BSN, senior nurse director who is pursuing a master of science in nursing; and Shannon Dietz, RN, BSN, project manager, who is pursuing a master of science in health care administration.
Denise Lebroke, who is employed in hospital accounting office, was awarded a Western Maine Health Scholarship for her pursuit of a bachelor of science in business and accounting.
