Anime and art for teens June 6 at WPL

WATERVILLE — The Teen Anime & Art Club will watch several episodes of “Boruto: Naruto Next Generations” Tuesday, June 6, from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Bartlett Room for Teens at the Waterville Public Library, 73 Elm St.

By way of synopsis, “Naruto was a young shinobi (a covert agent or mercenary in feudal Japan) with an incorrigible knack for mischief. He achieved his dream to become the greatest ninja in the village, and his face sits atop the Hokage Monument. But this is not his story. A new generation of ninja is ready to take the stage, led by Naruto’s own son, Boruto.”

Next, theTeen Anime & Art Club will see a screening of the series, “The Devil is a Part-Timer,” Tuesday, June 20, from 3 to 4 p.m. In this scenario, “Hilarity and fun ensues when Satan ends up in modern day Japan without any magic to return and starts working part time in a fast food joint.”

These events are held every other Tuesday beginning at 3 p.m., and all area teens are invited to experience the Anime & Art Club, whether you are already a fan or just curious to know more about anime. No matter your motivation, it’s an opportunity to enjoy old and new favorites, snacking and socializing.

Art supplies and books will be available during the program for those who want to get creative while they watch! This event is free and open to attendees under the age of 18.
