NORWAY – Lorie Olson, Maine native and avid hiker, will lead two series, sponsored by Stephens Memorial Hospital, for those looking to take steps toward fitness this summer.
Olson will lead a walk at 9 a.m. every Tuesday from June 6 to Aug. 29, and more adventures hikes on three Thursday evenings in June.
Walkers will meet in the parking lot of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School for adventures around the Oxford Hills area. The walks are weather permitting and are for all fitness levels. Proper footwear and water is recommended.
June walks include: June 6 and June 13, Riverside Trail; June 20 and June 27, High School Track Gouin Field.
Hikers will meet at 5:15 p.m. Thursday June 8, 15 and 29, in the parking lot at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School.
Hikes will be: June 8, Shepherds Preserve; June 15, Buck’s Ledge and Lapham Ledge, 2.1 miles; June 29, White Cap, Andover, 2 miles to 2,197-foot summit. Proper footwear and water is essential for all hikes.
