Inland Hospital seeks food, household items for food pantry collection

WATERVILLE — Inland Hospital, partnering with United Way of Mid-Maine, is collecting nonperishable food items and essential products to be donated to local food pantries. The collection will continue until Tuesday, May 30.

The hospital is asking for healthy food donations that are low-sodium, low-fat, whole wheat or whole grain, such as pasta and cereal, canned vegetables and fruit canned in fruit juice. Personal and household items, such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, soap, toilet paper, diapers, paper towels, trash bags and household cleaning products are also welcome.

Donations can be dropped off at Inland Hospital’s cafeteria, 200 Kennedy Memorial Drive, during regular business hours. All items collected will be delivered to local food banks.
