L-A Optimists honors Uncle Andy’s Digest for its work with Make-a-Wish

LEWISTON — L-A Optimist Club guest speaker James Marston, of Uncle Andy’s Digest, receives a framed copy of the Optimist Creed from 2nd Vice President Maime Ne, left, and 1st Vice President Sabrina Bes, at a recent meeting of the club. Marston shared his involvement with this years’ Aug. 12 Make-a-Wish Foundation Summer Block Party, which will be held at Mac’s Grill on Minot Avenue in Auburn.

Uncle Andy’s Digest celebrated its 20th anniversary by pairing up with Make-a-Wish, and has helped raise more than $52,000 in two years, granting seven wishes for local children who face life-threatening illnesses, Marston said.
