BELGRADE — It is that time of year again — time for everyone to get into their Super Hero gear and come to the Belgrade Center for All Seasons Saturday, May 20, from 4 to 6 p.m. for the fifth annual Mom & Son Super Hero Bash. The event features great laser tag battles, as well as the addition of inflatable obstacle course races to add to the fun!
The Mom & Son Super Hero Bash will go as it has in previous years with laser tag, games, light refreshments and door prize drawings for those who come in costume. Again this year, the event will have two additional hours for “Everyone Plays.” That means dads and daughters, friends and neighbors can join in the fun from 6 to 8 p.m.
Located at 1 Center Drive Route 27, the Belgrade Community Center for All Seasons’ Mom & Son Super Hero Bash has become one of Belgrade Recreation Department’s most anticipated events. Families start asking about the date early in the year to mark their calendars. Last year, the recreation department added two hours to the fun by opening the event up to everyone. This way they could retain the special time between moms and sons while allowing the whole family and others come to join the action after.
“Watching the moms and sons play together over the last four years has been so much fun. Adding ‘Everyone Plays’ last year was a blast. We even had a birthday group come play,” commented Rec Director Valencia Schubert, adding, “The hope is to provide a great mom and son time, then let everyone in on the festivities!”
Pricing this year will be $15 per couple for the Mom & Son Super Hero Bash. If they are staying and the rest of their immediate family is joining them, it is $5 per person for the second half. Others coming for just the second half will be $15 per couple with additional immediate family members $5 per person.
Be sure to dress up because there will be prize drawings during both parts of the event for those who do. There will be opportunities to have your Super Hero pictures taken for $5. The Rec Dept. will also be selling pizza slices, popcorn and juice from 6 to 8 p.m. If you have never been to a Super Hero Bash or played laser tag, you have got to check out this event!
Rain or shine, mark your calendars. All ages are encouraged to attend!
