AUGUSTA – Over the last several months, the Kennebec Historical Society received a number of very generous book donations. As a result, two book sales are planned and will take place in the garage at the society’s headquarters, 107 Winthrop St. The first will be May 13, followed by a second June 3.
Both sales will run from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Hardcovers will cost $1; paperbacks, $.50; children’s books, $.50; and DVDs, $3. At 1 p.m., the prices for all books will drop to $1 a bag. In addition to the usual fiction and non-fiction, there are hundreds of children’s books and DVDs.
The second sale will offer all new stock (There are a lot of books!) at the same prices. For more information, call the Society at 207-622-7718.
