Norway Grange to host clothing, coffee, cookie giveaway April 29

NORWAY — Members of the community are invited to a clothing giveaway from 8 a.m. to noon, Saturday, April 29, at the Norway Grange.

Bolsters Mills United Methodist Church, the Norway Grange and volunteers have teamed up to offer the 3-C Giveaway, at which clothes, cookies and coffee will be offered for free at the Whitman Street Grange hall. There will also be a limited amount of new socks and underwear, as well as some household and bedding articles.

The event is open to anyone in the community needing clothes, or who simply would enjoy a time of fellowship, coffee, cookies and conversation. There is no income eligibility required to come to the event, organizers said.

Donations may be dropped off at the Norway Grange from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, April 24, through Friday, April 28. There is a great need for new underwear and socks, organizers said. Clothing is collected throughout the year and the event takes place every spring and fall.
