BRUNSWICK — The Pejepscot Genealogical Society will hold its next monthly meeting Sunday, May 7, at 2 pm. in the Morrell roomat Curtis Memorial Library, 23 Pleasant St.
Coastal Journal writing contributor Susan Sorg will present “Tale of a Topsham Tombstone.” Coming upon a sad inscription on a tombstone in the First Parish Cemetery on Middlesex Road a year ago inspired her to delve into the history of what had happened to the deceased and how it affected so many others. Join us to hear the story of a freak shooting accident more than 200 years ago! There will be a brief social period with refreshments before and after the speaker. A business meeting will follow.
