NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital will hold its fifth annual “SMH Run for Wellness 5K” road race open to Stephens Memorial Hospital employees and the community. If you are an experienced competitor or interested in participating in your first race, we invite you to walk or run June 4. This is a great family event, and all levels of ability are welcome!
Registration opens at 7:30 a.m.; the event steps off at 9 a.m. The race will start and finish in front of Ripley Medical Office Building, 193 Main St. The entry fee is $15 per person, if registered prior to race day. Race day registration will be $20 per person. Prizes will be awarded to the top three male and top three female finishers in the 5K. Certificates will be presented at the end of the race for the top three male and female runners in each age category.
SMH will also have a Kids Fun Run prior to the 5K race. Kids ages 13 and under are invited to participate at no cost! Everyone is a winner in the Kids Fun Run, and the purpose of this race is to get out and get active! The Fun Run is approximately one mile and will begin at 8:15 a.m. Registration is on the day of the race only.
