Fashion show slated for May 5 in South Paris

SOUTH PARIS — Students of the Fashion Design program at Oxford Hills Technical School have set May 5 as the date for their Fashion Show, “Let’s Fashion!” This is the highlight of the year for students in the program, as they present the projects they have been working on during the school year.

After the winter storms, the students decided the theme would be spring-oriented. “Think of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ meets ‘Vogue,’ ” said Lori Millett, fashion design instructor. “We will be working over April vacation to get the 40-foot runway painted and create set pieces. Students are eager to start this phase of the class. It’s a rite of spring for us. They are thrilled to show off their work to the public, families and friends.”

The show will get under way at 7 p.m., at Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School’s auditorium.
