Zach Newell Scholarship awarded to Crepes

Apr. 22017

NORWAY – Stephens Memorial Hospital Director of Development and Community Relations Abbie Graiver has announced a scholarship from the Zach Newell Scholarship Fund was awarded to Zachary Crepes to help advance his educational efforts.

The Zach Newell Scholarship was established by Stanley and Mary Jane Newell in memory of their son, Zach who aspired to become an EMT. Mrs. Newell shared, “We are very happy to present this scholarship to Zachary. This is what Zach would have wanted.” The Zach Newell Scholarship provides scholarship assistance for PACE EMT’s at Stephens Memorial Hospital to further their training.

Crepes will be attending an Advanced EMT Course to upgrade his EMS medical license, one step closer to Paramedic. Once his training is complete he will be able to provide a higher level of care to his patients. He lives with his wife and daughter on Paris Hill.

If you are interested in contributing to The Zach Newell Scholarship fund contact the development office at 207-744-6049.
