When considering buying a home, especially in a seller’s market, it is paramount that you, as the buyer, are ready. Working with an experienced realtor is important because they know the ins and outs of the process and will save you a lot of time and unnecessary stress. It is also an advantage over other buyers to be prepared with a pre-approval letter from a reputable lender.
This lets the seller know you are a serious buyer and are more likely able to follow through with the transaction. Lastly, when you, as the buyer, have found the right home, it is not a bad idea to talk with some of the neighbors. They are able to give you insight into the neighborhood and area that you might not find from other sources.
