GARDINER — Gardiner Federal Credit Union’s scholarship committee is offering six scholarships, for $500 each, to area students pursuing post-secondary education or graduate degrees. The deadline to apply is Sunday, April 30.
The scholarships are open to students who live, work, worship or attend school in Kennebec and Lincoln counties, or in the towns of Palermo or Richmond. Applicants must complete two essay questions, provide a cover letter and fill out an application that details their extracurricular activities and community service, according to a news release from the committee.
The application is available under the community tab on Gardiner Federal Credit Union’s website, gardinerfcu.org, in the credit union lobby and in guidance offices at area high schools.
All completed applications will be reviewed by the GFCU Scholarship Committee and the selected recipients will be notified prior to graduation
