OTISFIELD — Area residents looking for fresh air, exercise and camaraderie are invited to join the Otisfield Weekly Walkers.
The walkers meet at 9 a.m. Friday at the Community Hall and walk, snowshoe or ski, depending on the weather, for about an hour.
The group meets year-round and usually car-pools to area trails. For instance, on a recent Friday they went to Heniger Park, where leader Maureen Howard posted markers for the town-owned preserve of 100 acres bordering Pleasant Lake in the southern part of town.
The group is open to anyone who wants to join, and no registration or fee is required. Just show up at 9 a.m. at the Otisfield Community Hall, Route 121. Dogs are welcome. For more information, call Maureen Howard at 809-4009.
