LEWISTON — Jenny Cowie, manager of Volunteer and Interpreter Services for St. Mary’s Health System, will be the featured guest speaker at LA Rotary from noon to 1 p.m. Thursday, April 27, at Ramada Inn, 490 Pleasant St. She graduated from the University of Maine with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education in 2009, although starting a family delayed completion of that degree by several years. Cowie has been a part of St. Mary’s since 2001. She serves as chairwoman for St. Mary’s “Commit to Get Fit Challenge,” slated for May 6 — the fourth annual event.
