AUBURN — Central Maine Community is inviting the public to attend a celebration pep rally Thursday, March 23, for the school’s women’s National Basketball Championship team. Mayor Jonathan LaBonte will be there to present opening remarks. The event takes place at Kirk Hall Gymnasium, 1250 Turner St., beginning at 3 p.m.
The Central Maine Community College Lady Mustangs are the first women in Maine to win a national basketball championship in any league or division. This celebrates the women’s USCAA Women’s Division II National Championship.
