RANGELEY — The Lakeside Dance Academy will present its annual Spring Dance Concert at 7 p.m. March 31 and April 1 at the RFA Lakeside Theatre on Main St. The evening will showcase the work of more than 45 dancers of all ages. Sponsored by the Rangeley Friends of the Arts, the production will introduce the use of multi-media presentations and enhanced lighting effects to bring the students’ work to a professional level of stage production.
Dancers ranging in ability from beginner to advanced will perform in ballet, tap, jazz, and en pointe. Advanced level dancers are Ellie Brookes, Genevieve Burgess, Skyela Burgess, Natalie Brooks, Brooke Egan, Jacksyn Haley, Lauren Farmer, Jessica Gammon, Mya Laliberte, Emmarae MacFawn, Ella Shaffer, Isobel Straub, Cassidy Strunk and Lily Webber.
Intermediate level dancers are Tori White Abbott, Tessa Eustis, Gracie Feeney, Averie Flewelling, Emma Grant, Quincy Haley, Brooke Laliberte, Nichole Lemay, Meredith McMillan, Aaliyah Ramirez, Elizabeth Robare, Lily Shaffer, Parker Smith, Eva Spear and Angelica Woodward.
Beginner level dancers are Lucy Bolduc, Kaylee Bottcher, Silvi Emami-Greifendorf, Jozee Feeney, Abigail Grant, Stella McFawn, Blakeslee Popores, Teagan Schultz and Tristram Woodman. The pre-school Creative Movement class includes the youngest dancers — Kayla Brewer, Mary Burgess, Madison Ellis. Elyse Kennett, Joslyn Kennett, Mia Lynch, Sara Kate Murphy, Addisyn Quimby, Vanessa Sirois, Micaela Vryhof, Morghan Webber and Caroline Willis.
The Lakeside Dance Academy has been providing dance instruction since 1986 under the Artistic Direction of Pam Ellis. The Rangeley Friends of the Arts has provided support through the years via their Scholarship and Student Lessons programs. There will be a reception to celebrate the dancers in the theater lobby after the concert each night. Admission is $7 for adults and $3 for students ages 7 to 18. Children 6 and under are free.
