SOUTH PARIS — Jack Robie will demonstrate his system of changing kitchen trash to garden treasure using red works at the next Gardeners Growing Healthy Communities program.
Robie, known as the Worm Wiz, is scheduled to speak at 5:30 p.m., Thursday, April 6, at the First Congregational Church. The program includes a pot luck dinner and there will be an opportunity to win a worm composting system, complete with worms.
The event fee is $10, which supports GGHC’s mission to grow and provide fresh fruit and vegetables to the community, according to a news release.
The group urges attendees to register by email at gghc.maine@gmail.com or call 890-1626, so it can determine how much food to provide.
