OAKLAND — The Class of 2018 is hosting a live/silent auction and Italian dinner April 1 at the Messalonskee High School cafeteria. The cost is $10 per person, and tickets can be purchased at the door or at the school’s main office during school hours. Tickets purchased prior to the event will be put in a drawing for a prize.
Doors open at 5 p.m., and dinner will be served by 5:30 p.m. The auction is scheduled to start an hour later. Auction items include car detailing, PGA tickets, Red Sox tickets, fire pits, portrait sessions and many more items too numerous to list.
The class is also raffling off eight themed baskets — “candy,” “beach” and “coffee and tea” are just a few of them. Door prizes and a chance to win a big-screen TV are also highlights of the event.
Proceeds from the auction will benefit the Class of 2018 Project Graduation fund.
