Lithgow Public Library to host St. Patrick’s Day music special on March 16

AUGUSTA — Lithgow Public Library is hosting an evening of Irish songs and instrumental music March 16 in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.

Ladies of the Lake, with members Sharon Pyne (flute and whistles) and Maggie Ericson (accordion, vocals and guitar), as well as fiddler Hank Washburn, will perform at 6 p.m., Thursday, March 16, in the Community Room at the library, 45 Winthrop St. The event is free and open to the public, according to a news release from the library.

Specializing in traditional Celtic instrumental music and ballad singing, the Ladies of the Lake have performed for many years as a group and as individuals in Maine and beyond, the release said.
