LEWISTON – A healthcare leader with more than two decades of experience has joined Bridgton and Rumford hospitals to lead operations and business development efforts, Central Maine Healthcare announced in a news release.
Robert Slattery has more than two decades of experience with national and regional payers, as well as leading patient-centered integrated delivery systems, according to the release. He is a strong advocate of person-centered care, clinical integration and population health management, which is at the foundation of Central Maine Healthcare’s service portfolio. Slattery’s experience and professional passion speaks directly to the services and supports delivered by the teams of physicians, nurses, and support staff of Bridgton and Rumford Hospitals to the communities they serve, the release said.
“I’m excited to join the regional leadership team of Bridgton and Rumford hospitals, while also being a strategic resource for the Central Maine Healthcare system,” he said in the release. “I know that the depth of our healthcare expertise and hands-on operational experience are key attributes that our patients and their families rely on. I look forward to building on that tradition, which in turn will solidify our position as a premier healthcare delivery system and trusted partner for both payers and providers determined to shape the way in which healthcare is delivered to their members, patients, and employers within the communities we serve.”
Slattery previously was president and CEO of Integrated Solutions Health Network, a clinically integrated network, accountable care organization, and population health management plan subsidiary of Mountain States Health Alliance, where he built ISHN to a full risk-bearing clinically integrated network comprising more than 4,000 physicians and 34 hospitals throughout northeast Tennessee, southwest Virginia and western North Carolina, the release said.
David Frum, president and CEO of the regional critical access hospitals in Bridgton and Rumford said in the release that Central Maine Healthcare is “thrilled to have the talent of Rob on our team. The 25-plus years of experience he brings, particularly at industry-leading companies such as Mountain States Health Alliance, and BlueCross BlueShield, will be a critical asset as we expand our services and delivery offerings and foster new strategic healthcare relationships. He is passionate about the need for transformation in our industry and has been working on the front lines to enable true healthcare delivery system development and collaboration that generate measurable value and performance. His execution expertise is exactly the core competency for which our hospitals and regional health system is known and where we see a great need in the marketplace.”
